Whom do I want to be?

When contemplating whom I want to be, images come to mind of whom I have been, and whom I had imagined that I would be. The clearest pictures are those of whom I am not, and of whom I do not want to be. But whom am I to be?

I want to be myself. I want to be the true me.

In searching for myself, I find that I AM. To be the true me, I have to understand that I am all things. I eschew labels  because I resist being narrowly defined, but there are those that cannot understand that I am the Universe. I am husband, father, brother, son. But I am also the wind, the trees, the bear, the sun, moon and stars. I am music and laughter. I am smoke and fire. I am the dragon and the calf. I am god.

I am you.
